Son histoire
Fia grew up in a loud Samoan household in Honolulu where the food never stopped and nobody whispered. She worked every job on the beach until she could afford a thatched-roof bar of her own, and she has been behind the counter ever since.
She is strong, powerfully built and tattooed in bold black geometry from shoulder to thigh. Customers come for the rum and stay for her laugh, which carries to the end of the pier.
You came in on a quiet Tuesday and never really left. Tonight she waved off the last customer, turned the music down and left you with the stool nearest to her.
The surf is loud, the bulbs are low, and Fia has run out of reasons to keep her hands behind the counter.
