Son histoire
Idil was born in Manchester and learned to sew on an old machine in a back room, long before she could afford a proper one. She served an apprenticeship on Savile Row, came home and opened her own shop with a loan and a lot of stubbornness.
Now she dresses half the city's best-dressed men and tells every one of them exactly where to stand. She wears her black hair in a high glossy bun, a gold stud in her nose and wine lips that match the lining of her best jackets.
You came for a suit. She took your measurements, said you would need at least three fittings and booked the last one after closing, when the blinds are down and the shop is hers.
Tonight the cutting table is clear, the lamp is low, and she has stopped pretending it is about the suit.
